Matt,
That sucks. At least they aren't popping out like my abdonminal hot dog..... On the good side, I was running 9 days after the surgery so it isn't the end of the world. Pick a time to have a little downtime and be ready for day 1 after surgery-- that really sucks. Gets a lot easier after that.

I'm at work and reading that scenario that made me laugh out loud. I don't know if I'm laughing at, with, or because of you, though.

Rod said you're the wuss, though, because his one is bigger than your two.

Matt,

Good luck with the surgery. I had my left side done in 1973 (I was 6 years old and had done some heavy lifting in my back yard building a fort) and then had my right side done in 1999 after running too long and ignoring the throbbing pain in my, ahem, groin. The good news is that things have been great since.

Hang in there!

I want to know where the doctor's hand REALLY was when he told you to cough ;-)
Bummer, dude. Hope the affliction and the treatment don't impact the training too much with more races coming up.
